What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a powerful therapy tool I use when providing therapy for healers to help process and overcome experiences of trauma, loss, grief, and emotional pain.

Brainspotting focuses on identifying eye positions that relate to the parts of the brain involved in storing and processing trauma.

By guiding you to maintain eye fixation on spots that activate these brain regions, I help you access, process, and release traumatic memories and associated feelings.

What is the Difference Between Brainspotting and EMDR?

Like EMDR, Brainspotting can help those suffering from PTSD and emotional trauma. However, Brainspotting is more focused on the somatic and body-centered experience. EMDR relies on bilateral eye movements, whereas brainspotting uses targeted eye positions to directly activate trauma in the brain. 

As your therapist, brainspotting allows me greater flexibility to evaluate your body cues and find the right eye positions that will be most effective for you. We will collaborate and work together as a team to find the specific spots that will resonate most powerfully and be the most therapeutic for your healing journey.
