Learn more about Sandy’s offerings

  • I offer individual counseling to individuals ages eighteen and older. I specialize in working with individuals affected by trauma, attachment issues, spirituality concerns, and adoption-related issues. I am also able to work with a variety of presenting concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief, parenting concerns, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, adjustment issues, stress management, career indecision, phase of life issues, and relationship struggles.

I utilize a variety of mediums to assist you in meeting your goals including talk therapy, holistic counseling, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and body-based therapies such as Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, and EFT/Tapping. I believe that you have the strength within yourself to heal from your past.

  • Our “person” is composed of three parts- the physical body, the mind, and our spirit. Shouldn’t we treat all three for the best results? Sandy’s approach does just that. Maybe you’ve done “talk therapy” before and did not find it helpful because you are still carrying emotional pain. Talking is important. But talking alone is not always enough, especially if you feel that talking continues to bring up the same emotions that do not change. Connecting to our bodies with compassionate awareness is the first step in healing from whatever stressors, events, or challenges have come before.

  • Foothold Counseling & Holistic Health is pleased to offer intensive therapy sessions. These sessions are designed to be time-intensive and work-intensive. Lasting from two-four hours, these sessions are designed to heal specific issues. You are invited to dress comfortably and bring drinks and/or snacks for your session. This is a great opportunity for clients that want to persevere through issues but can't commit to weekly therapy sessions. Third-party payers do not cover these sessions. During these sessions, we can utilize techniques such as Brainspotting.

The gold standard is to have a mental health provider on your Crisis Team to assist those individuals who need a “more intensive” approach. Your Peer Support Team supports its peers.
